Join us for an Emo Afternoon because let's be honest.... we are all elders now who can't party rock at night like we used to anymore... 😅

To celebrate Andrew McMahon's return to Red Rocks this July, this month you’ll stitch the lyric “This night's the perfect shade of dark blue” from Jack's Mannequin's banger, Dark Blue. Using an exclusive embroidery pattern created by Makeshift Crafts and inspired by the album art from Everything in Transit, you’ll learn essential embroidery basics while soaking in nostalgic emo anthems and connecting with fellow music lovers.

We will have the radio jamming with emo anthems all night long, requests accepted and singing along is encouraged! Wear your most emo outfit with some extra eyeliner for good measure and come be crafty and emo with a room full of new friends!

Dark Blue trivia: Did you know Stephenie Meyer included the song in the inspiration playlist for her novel Breaking Dawn, the fourth installment of her widely popular Twilight series?

đŸȘĄ Essential Stitches: Practice backstitch for crisp lettering, satin stitch for filled accents, and French knots for subtle texture.

đŸ–€ Color & Flair: Choose thread colors that speak to your emo spirit and make your piece truly your own!

đŸȘ© No Panic, Only Disco: Share your favorite bands and songs, concert stories, or memories in a welcoming, emo-loving community!

All materials, including fabric, embroidery hoops, needles, and a curated selection of threads, are provided. Bring your emo attitude and leave with a beautifully stitched keepsake and reminder that it just takes some time!

FYI: Did you know Makeshift Crafts is BYOB?
