Who says trash can’t become treasure? At this eco-friendly art camp, kids will turn everyday recyclables into one-of-a-kind masterpieces. From paper towel rolls to bottle caps, cardboard, fabric scraps, and more, we’ll explore how to reuse materials in creative and unexpected ways.

Campers will build, paint, sculpt, and craft their way through the week, learning about sustainability while expressing themselves through hands-on projects. It’s the perfect blend of art, creativity, and environmental awareness.

Daily from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

👧 Who Can Attend
Kids ages 6 to 12 only (must be 6 by June 1, 2025—no exceptions)

🎒 What to Pack
Please send your child with:

  • A packed lunch

  • A nut-free snack

  • A refillable water bottle


📝 Camp Policies

By enrolling in Makeshift Crafts Kids Camp, you agree to the following:

  • Camp registration is non-transferable. Spots cannot be shared or gifted, including to siblings.

  • Camp hours are strictly 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM. We are unable to offer early drop-off or aftercare.

  • Late pick-ups after 2:00 PM will incur a fee of $10 per 15 minutes.

  • We are a NUT-FREE studio. Please do not send any snacks containing:
    peanuts, peanut butter, tree nuts (e.g., almonds, cashews, pistachios), Nutella, nut milks, or any nut products.


💵 Cancellation & Payment Policy

  • A $100 nonrefundable deposit is included in your camp payment.

  • Full payment is due 1 week before camp begins.

  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the first day of camp may receive a refund (minus the deposit).

  • Cancellations made within 15 days of the camp start date are nonrefundable.

♻️ Sustainable Art: Each camper will spend the week creating a series of art pieces made from recycled materials. They will not only learn more about recycling, but also about the art of reusing and repurposing and turning someone else's trash into beautiful art.

🎨 Customized Art: Under the guidance of friendly instructors, campers will learn different techniques to make art pieces out of tons of different recycled materials. Campers will make ~5-8 different projects over the course of the week.

🤗 Special Guest: Campers will be treated to a special guest from the recycled art community to talk to them about how recycling works, as well as provide more guidance and inspiration to their art projects. They will hopefully leave feeling more inspired to find new ways to recycle and repurpose in their every day lives!

🌟 Take-Home Treasures: Campers will leave their in-progress projects each day, and the week culminates in many different completed projects they can take home and proudly display as a reminder to always recycle!

Each child should bring a nut-free packed lunch and snack as well as a water bottle every day of camp. All other necessary materials are provided, so your child just needs to bring their curiosity and enthusiasm. Please be mindful that classes may involve paint, glue, and other materials that could potentially stain, so dress your child accordingly.
