What You’ll Find

At Makeshift Crafts, we’re all about bringing crafting back to its roots: hands-on, community-focused, and full of heart. Our retail area is stocked with carefully curated craft supplies for yarn crafts, embroidery, paper arts, and more. We also carry unique DIY kits to get you started on a new project, plus locally made gifts and notions you won’t find at big-box stores. We love supporting other small businesses, so browsing around you will discover a wide variety of products from new and upcoming small businesses you may have never heard of before!

The Living Room

Need a place to relax, unwind, or just catch up with a friend? Our cozy Living Room area is perfect for that! Sit back, sip a cup of tea, and work on your latest project in a comfy, home-like space. It’s all about creating a sense of belonging and giving you a space to craft, connect, and just be yourself. This space features comfy, single armchairs and cozy lighting, making it the perfect place to work on your current hyper-fixation project!

Workshops & Events

Looking to learn something new? Our workshops are designed for all levels, whether you’re just getting started or looking to sharpen your skills. From knitting and crochet to calligraphy and watercolor, our classes are hands-on and welcoming. Plus, we host special craft nights, seasonal events, and community gatherings to keep the creative energy flowing. Our weekly recurring mental health and self care focused classes are a perfect way to unwind and disassociate from whatever is going on out there. When you are here, you are safe and free to be yourself.
