Welcome to Makeshift Crafts, a cozy, creative haven where crafting and community come together. Nestled in the heart of North Denver, the space is thoughtfully designed to make you feel at home: a place where you can kick off your shoes, pick up a project, and lose yourself in the joy of making.
At Makeshift Crafts, we believe that crafting is more than just a hobby, it’s a way to connect, unwind, heal, and create something meaningful. That’s why we’ve created a warm, welcoming environment that feels like hanging out at a friend’s house! Whether you’re picking up a new skill, finishing a long-forgotten project, or simply gathering with like-minded crafters, our space is your space.
What We Do
We offer hands-on craft classes and workshops focused on fiber arts and creative skills, including crochet, Tunisian crochet, knitting, embroidery, cross stitch, needlepoint, bargello, appliqué, and more. Our classes range from beginner-friendly introductions to intermediate skill-building workshops, with projects that are functional, playful, and thoughtfully designed.
In addition to workshops, we carry curated craft supplies, kits, and tools chosen to support learning and creativity without overwhelm. We believe in quality materials, clear instruction, and projects that feel achievable and satisfying.

Makeshift Crafts was founded by Brittany Naylor, a lifelong crafter with a passion for bringing creativity and community together. Brittany’s vision is to create a space that feels familiar and inspiring, where people can learn new things, meet friends, and most importantly, feel at home. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned maker, Brittany and the Makeshift Crafts team can’t wait to welcome you!
