This year for Flag Day, we’re celebrating identity, visibility, and queer joy with a special cross stitch workshop featuring over 40 different mini pride flag patterns designed by Brittany.
Whether you want to stitch your own flag, make one for someone you love, represent multiple identities, or simply spend an evening surrounded by colorful community, this workshop is all about creating something small, meaningful, and proudly visible.
Each participant will choose from our giant library of mini pride flag cross stitch patterns and stitch their design into a tiny finished piece that can be turned into:
🌈 a wearable pin
✨ a bag charm
🔑 a keychain
🧵 a project bag accessory
💖 or any tiny joyful object your heart desires
And because we fully support becoming obsessed with making tiny flags, your registration also includes a Makeshift printed guide to all 40+ pride flag patterns so you can continue stitching and sharing them long after the workshop ends. 🏳️🌈
This workshop is beginner-friendly and a perfect introduction to small-scale cross stitch projects. We’ll guide you through reading patterns, making clean stitches, and finishing techniques for wearable and display-ready mini pieces.

Our workshops are designed to be a welcoming and inclusive creative space for all. Please note that workshops are intended for participants ages 14 and up, with instruction, pacing, and materials geared toward teens and adults rather than young children.
Workshops that are appropriate for younger participants will be clearly labeled as “10+ Kid Friendly” or “Grown-Up & Me” activities. Thank you for your understanding!
