FAQs

Q: When will the books be distributed?
A: Books will be available at 12:00 AM (midnight) Colorado time. Bloomsbury Publishing has VERY clearly communicated that we are not supposed to distribute the books until then. We are aware that some other businesses have said they will hand out the books at 10:00 PM, but we directly confirmed the contract terms with the publishers and it would be a breach of contract to do otherwise.

Q: What is the dress code? Are costumes required?
A: The only requirement is no nudity (even if you are a fae who transforms from animal to human form without clothing)! We do highly encourage fantasy-themed costumes or semi-formal attire for added fun. There will also be a costume contest and an exclusive prize for the winner!

The event is held indoors and climate-controlled, but there is a terrace area where it might be colder if you choose to be outside.

Q: Can I come if I have not read the books / do not know anything about the story?
A: Absolutely! Just think of this as a fantasy ball where all dreams are welcome. There will be plenty of dancing, crafting, and mystical festivities for anyone who wants to escape reality for an evening.

Q:What accommodations are available for accessibility needs?
A: The venue space is ADA accessible and has private, gender-neutral bathrooms. For those who are sensitive to overstimulation or sensory concerns, there are quiet spaces available inside and outside the ballroom.

Q: Which crafts will be available? Do I need to bring anything?
A: We will have 3 craft stations, including a 3D-printed cross-stitch baroque frame, watercolor bookmark, and a final surprise option! All supplies will be provided so you do not need to bring anything with you.

Q: Will there be other activities?
A: Most certainly! There will also be a photo booth, special vendors, and fantasy-themed flash tattoos. Deep book discussions and fan theorizing are also forecasted. (Red string available for plotting theories upon request.)

Q: Is there a discount for hotel reservations?
A: Yes! You can receive a 15% discount at the Westin for hotel rooms booked during that week. After booking your ticket, we will send you a direct link for booking through the hotel.
