Join Makeshift Crafts at the Denver Friendors Artisan Market at McGregor Square for an hour of creativity surrounded by local artists, handmade goods, delicious food, refreshing drinks, and one of Denver's best maker markets.

This workshop was our fastest-selling class in July, and after seeing how quickly it filled, we just knew we had to take it on the road! We're excited to introduce even more people to the magic of watercolor with this fun, approachable project that's perfect for complete beginners and experienced makers alike.

Even better? We'll be painting outdoors in the fresh Colorado air. There's something especially inspiring about learning watercolor while surrounded by the energy of the artisan market, blue skies overhead, and the buzz of local makers. It's the perfect reminder that art doesn't always happen inside four walls.

In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll create a colorful layered landscape using watercolor and collage techniques. We'll start by painting sheets of watercolor paper before tearing, shaping, and layering them into a dimensional scene filled with rolling hills, mountains, trees, skies, water, or wherever your imagination takes you.

Instead of painting directly onto one sheet, you'll build your artwork piece by piece, creating beautiful depth and texture that gives your finished landscape a three-dimensional feel. No two projects will ever look alike! 🌅🏞️
