We’re just a notch in your bedpost, but you’re just a line in this embroidery pattern. 🖤🪡🎶
This month’s Emo Embroidery Night is dedicated to one of Fall Out Boy’s most iconic lines: “Am I More Than You Bargained For Yet?” because honestly, no lyric has ever felt more simultaneously dramatic, romantic, and emotionally catastrophic.
For this workshop, Brittany hand-drew a design featuring the lyric strung delicately between two antlers like a woodland emo banner hanging somewhere deep in the emotionally haunted forests of 2005. Equal parts soft folk art and Myspace-era existentialism, the design feels perfectly at home stitched into a hoop while aggressively singing along to songs that permanently altered our personalities as teenagers. 💀✨
As always, we’ll spend the evening embroidering, listening to emo throwbacks, discussing our favorite lyricists like they are classical poets, and pretending we are emotionally fine.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and includes:
🪡 pre-printed fabric
🧵 embroidery floss
✨ all stitching materials needed during class
Your finished piece is perfect for:
🖤 adding to your emo gallery walls & music corners (looking at you A.W. 😉)
🎶 emo office decor
📚 bookshelf styling next to your old CDs and concert tickets
✨ or reminding yourself that being emotionally theatrical is actually very charming
Whether you were personally victimized by Pete Wentz lyrics or simply appreciate art that feels a little yearning and unwell… this workshop is for you.
🖤 The Vibe:
🎶 Throwback emo bangers on full volume
🖤 A room full of people who still feel everything
🎤 Casual sing-alongs, dramatic sighs, and maybe a little healing
Come dressed in your finest emo fits! Band tees, eyeliner, side parts, all of it encouraged.
All materials included. All feelings honored. Always. 🖤
Workshop Age Guidance
Our workshops are designed to be a welcoming and inclusive creative space for all. Please note that workshops are intended for participants ages 14 and up, with instruction, pacing, and materials geared toward teens and adults rather than young children.
Workshops that are appropriate for younger participants will be clearly labeled as “10+ Kid Friendly” or “Grown-Up & Me” activities. Thank you for your understanding!
