Felt Scissors Sheath

Stop accidentally stabbing yourself with the loose scissors in your project bag. Safety first! But also, make it stylish!

This project is fully customizable, so you can decide how your scissors prefer to be dressed–are those scissors a bright, cartoonish friend or a dark, mysterious weapon? Let your imagination shine by using the Sizzix felt machines to add flowers, celestial shapes, or leafy accents.

For this workshop you should bring your favorite pair of scissors to create a sturdy scissor sheath that perfectly fits to keep them (and your hands) safe. The sizing is fully adjustable so you can create a sheath for tiny embroidery shears or one for larger paper scissors.

You will have access to our collection of colorful felt, embroidery thread, and cutting templates for the design. We will show you how to add embroidered details, apply iron-on fusible interfacing for added stability, and put a magnetic loop on the sheath that will secure your scissors in place.

Your registration includes:
Magnets for creating a fitted closure
Sample of HeatnBond iron-on fusible interfacing
Access to store thread wall and all necessary tools
Use of store Sizzix cutting machines and additional hand-cut templates

Please note: You should bring your own scissors for this workshop to make sure your design is customized to your personal tools. If you do not have a preferred set of scissors, we have a selection you can sample or purchase.

Cancellation Policy:
For workshops booked on or after August 16, 2026, the following cancellation policy applies: If you’re unable to attend a workshop, you may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled workshop time to receive a 50% refund of your workshop payment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop start time are not eligible for a refund. Please note that materials or kits from the class cannot be provided to participants who are unable to attend.
