Grab your current WIP, warm up those vocal cords, and prepare to make some questionable musical choices. 🎤🧶✨

Karaoke & Kraft Night is one of our new social events at Makeshift! Less workshop, more craft night meets karaoke bar. Bring whatever project you're currently working on and spend the evening crocheting, knitting, embroidering, cross stitching, or crafting while your fellow makers take over the mic.

Sing your heart out. Cheer on your friends. Craft from the safety of your seat if getting onstage is absolutely not happening. Singing is encouraged, never required.

Admission is just $5, but reservations are required so we can make sure everyone has a seat for crafting!

What You’ll Learn:

This one's a social event, not a workshop, so we're taking the night off from teaching!

Bring a project you're already comfortable working on independently. We'll provide the space, the karaoke, and a room full of fellow makers ready to hype you up whether you're finishing a row or attempting a key change you had no business attempting.

The Vibe:

Craft night...but somebody handed us a microphone.

Work a few rows. Sing a song. Completely lose your stitch count during someone else's rendition of a 2000s power ballad. Craft with one hand while dramatically singing into an imaginary microphone with the other. Discover that the person quietly embroidering across from you has been hiding an absolutely devastating karaoke voice.

It's casual. It's crafty. It's probably a little chaotic. And you absolutely do not have to sing to hang out.

Workshop Age Guidance:
Our workshops are designed to be a welcoming and inclusive creative space for all. Please note that workshops are intended for participants ages 14 and up, with instruction, pacing, and materials geared toward teens and adults rather than young children.

Workshops that are appropriate for younger participants will be clearly labeled as family-friendly or “Grown-Up & Me” activities. Thank you for your understanding!

Cancellation Policy:
For workshops booked on or after August 16, 2026, the following cancellation policy applies: If you’re unable to attend a workshop, you may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled workshop time to receive a 50% refund of your workshop payment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop start time are not eligible for a refund. Please note that materials or kits from the class cannot be provided to participants who are unable to attend.
