In this workshop, you'll learn the foundations of traditional knotted beadwork while creating your own gorgeous gemstone necklace using two strands of gemstones, silk beading cord, and tight knots tucked perfectly between each bead.

And because we firmly believe half the fun is choosing your own adventure, we'll have multiple gemstone and silk cord color options so you can create a combination that actually feels like you. 😎

We'll teach you how to work with silk beading cord and a beading awl to create those beautiful, tight knots nestled perfectly between your gemstones. You'll learn how to control your knot placement, maintain consistent spacing, work your way through your necklace, and add the finishing hardware that turns your strand of pretty rocks into an actual piece of jewelry.

Your workshop includes two strands of gemstones, one silk beading cord, your own beading awl to take home, finishing hardware, and use of our shared tools during class. You'll choose from our available gemstone and cord colors to create a necklace that's completely your own.

Our workshops are designed to be a welcoming and inclusive creative space for all. Please note that workshops are intended for participants ages 14 and up, with instruction, pacing, and materials geared toward teens and adults rather than young children.

Workshops that are appropriate for younger participants will be clearly labeled as family-friendly or “Grown-Up & Me” activities. Thank you for your understanding!

Cancellation Policy:
For workshops booked on or after August 16, 2026, the following cancellation policy applies: If you’re unable to attend a workshop, you may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled workshop time to receive a 50% refund of your workshop payment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop start time are not eligible for a refund. Please note that materials or kits from the class cannot be provided to participants who are unable to attend.
