If you have ever attended a workshop at Makeshift Crafts led by the fabulous Tonya, you probably heard her say the iconic line: “You’re the boss of you.”
It is a mantra. An anthem. A battle cry.
It is an inspiring reminder to go your own way and not let anyone tell you what to do. No one puts baby in a corner because baby gets to be her own boss! So this phrase deserves to be immortalized in thread on a custom 3-D printed frame.
The frames are a brand new floral, rectangular design exclusive to Makeshift Crafts and will come in several color options, including pink, purple, white, and light blue. Each person will receive a pattern and multiple choices of thread from our floss wall to create the design.
This workshop is only for members of the Makeshit Craft Club who recognize the authority of Tonya’s wisdom. If you are not yet a member, stop by the store to learn about all the benefits of becoming one, such as exclusive events like this!

Our workshops are designed to be a welcoming and inclusive creative space for all. Please note that workshops are intended for participants ages 14 and up, with instruction, pacing, and materials geared toward teens and adults rather than young children.
Workshops that are appropriate for younger participants will be clearly labeled as family-friendly or “Grown-Up & Me” activities. Thank you for your understanding!
Cancellation Policy:
For workshops booked on or after August 16, 2026, the following cancellation policy applies: If you’re unable to attend a workshop, you may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled workshop time to receive a 50% refund of your workshop payment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop start time are not eligible for a refund. Please note that materials or kits from the class cannot be provided to participants who are unable to attend.
