Somewhere between the autumn leaves, the old grist mill, a very suspicious tavern, and whatever the hell is happening in those woods… we are apparently deciding to stop and cross stitch now that Adelaide's scissors are free to use. 🍂

Continuing on our Fantasy Fall journey into the unknown, we're wandering Over the Garden Wall with another Choose Your Own Adventure Cross Stitch workshop where you get to decide what you're stitching.

Every attendee will receive your very own Makeshift Made Over the Garden Wall Pattern Booklet, packed with different cross stitch patterns inspired by the strange, cozy, melancholy, occasionally unhinged world of the Unknown.

Just like the citizens of Pottsfield, no two pumpkin heads are alike! Instead of everyone making the exact same project, you will flip through the booklet, choose one design that calls to you from somewhere beyond the garden wall, pick your colors, and start stitching. 

If you've never cross stitched before, don't worry! You can do anything if you set your mind to it. That's what the old people say. 😉 We'll walk through everything you need to know to get started from reading a cross stitch pattern and finding the center of your fabric to making clean stitches and keeping your project organized.

Expect a table full of OTGW fans comparing favorite episodes, choosing patterns, quoting the show, discussing whether Greg is perhaps the greatest fictional character ever created, and collectively embracing the extremely specific emotional experience of wanting to live inside the Unknown while also absolutely NOT wanting to live inside the Unknown.

It's autumnal. It's weird. It's whimsical. It's a little spooky. There will be lots of stork scissors snipping threads of destiny.

Workshop Age Guidance:
Our workshops are designed to be a welcoming and inclusive creative space for all. Please note that workshops are intended for participants ages 14 and up, with instruction, pacing, and materials geared toward teens and adults rather than young children.

Workshops that are appropriate for younger participants will be clearly labeled as family-friendly or “Grown-Up & Me” activities. Thank you for your understanding!

Cancellation Policy:
For workshops booked on or after August 16, 2026, the following cancellation policy applies: If you’re unable to attend a workshop, you may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled workshop time to receive a 50% refund of your workshop payment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop start time are not eligible for a refund. Please note that materials or kits from the class cannot be provided to participants who are unable to attend.
