Unearth a forgotten relic and bring it back to life with stitch, texture, and imagination. π¦πΏπͺ‘
Join us for our first-ever Mixed Media Embroidery Intensive, a four-hour deep dive into dimensional embroidery, punch needle, texture building, and creative experimentation.
In this immersive workshop, you'll choose from six original dinosaur fossil designs hand-drawn by Brittany and pre-printed on fabric, making it easy to jump right into stitching and creating. From there, you'll transform your fossil into a richly layered prehistoric scene filled with moss, ferns, stones, fibers, and woodland treasures using a combination of embroidery, punch needle, dimensional stitching, mixed fibers, and found objects.
This workshop is designed for makers who love texture, detail, and projects that blur the lines between embroidery, fiber art, and mixed media. Rather than focusing on a single technique, we'll explore how multiple textile techniques can work together to create depth, movement, and storytelling within one piece.
Whether you're drawn to dark academia aesthetics, natural history collections, cottagecore forests, museum displays, or the idea of flowers and moss slowly reclaiming something ancient, this workshop offers endless opportunities to customize your project and make it uniquely yours.
Participants will learn:
πͺ‘ Dimensional embroidery techniques for texture and depth
πΏ How to use an embroidery punch needle for textured fiber art
𧡠Couching and fiber layering techniques
β¨ Methods for combining multiple textile techniques into one cohesive piece
πͺ¨ How to attach and incorporate stones and felt embellishments
π± Tips for creating visual depth, texture, and storytelling through fiber art
Your registration includes:
π¦ Your choice of one of six original fossil designs hand-drawn by Brittany
πͺ‘ A brand new Clover Embroidery Stitching Tool + two sizes of needles for punching with both yarn and embroidery floss
𧴠A bottle of fabric glue to keep
𧡠One full skein of sparkly DMC Γtoile embroidery floss of your choice

πͺ¨ Stones, fibers, and mixed-media bead and felt embellishments

πͺ‘ Use of all additional tools and supplies during class

This intensive is perfect for adventurous beginners and experienced stitchers alike. Whether you're trying punch needle for the first time or you're looking for a project that pushes beyond traditional embroidery, you'll leave with new skills, new techniques, and a finished piece that's ready to hang the moment you get home.
Part natural history exhibit. Part fiber art. Part treasure unearthed from the Green Grave. πΏπ¦β¨
