“And isn’t it just so pretty to think, all along there was some invisible string, tying you to me?” 🪢
Turns out those strings tied you to the Swifties at Makeshift Crafts. So grab your cardigan, it is time to say yes instead of no.
The 2020 COVID pandemic was rough, but our good pal Taylor never lets anything stop her from delivering a new album to help us escape the world. And when we thought it couldn’t get any better, she released the documentary Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions that was recorded at a dreamy cabin in the forests of the Hudson Valley. The accompanying album includes the live acoustic versions of all 17 songs and is perfect for cozy days under blankets with rain pattering in the background. ☺️
As part of our year-long series celebrating each of Taylor’s albums, the August workshop offers two exclusive Makeshift pattern options for you to choose from: the original Folklore album cover or the Long Pond Studio Sessions cover. Each month in the series features a 3" × 3" cross stitch square inspired by one of Taylor's albums. By the end of the year, you'll have twelve stitched squares that can stand alone or be combined into one stunning tribute to every era.
✅ January: Debut
✅ February: Fearless
✅ March: Speak Now
✅ April: Red
✅ May: 1989
✅ June: Reputation
✅ July: Lover
👀 August: Folklore
Whether you've been stitching with us since Debut, screaming through Fearless, twirling through Speak Now, surviving Red, moving to New York with 1989, embracing your villain era with Reputation, or romanticizing life through Lover–this workshop is welcoming, relaxed, and full of community.
We will listen to the album, watch parts of the documentary, and sway with the moody melodies of Taylor’s folk songs all evening.
💚💛💜❤️🩵🖤
Passed down like folk songs, the love of crafts lasts so long.
