As if International Crochet Day couldn’t get any cooler, we are closing out the day with a workshop on the long-anticipated Makeshift 2-Hour-Cowl!
This pattern is so quick and simple that we are extending our normal workshop time for 30 minutes because our tests showed it truly can be a 2-hour-cowl and you could finish it before the end of the day! I mean is there anything better you could finish in 2 hours? Sure you could clean the house or walk a 5k, but those are not nearly as fun.
The workshop will include a skein of Universal Yarn Tango in a variety of bright, multicolored hues. Also, as a bonus for joining us on International Crochet Day, everyone will receive a special-edition pin to commemorate the event!
Maybe you are still skeptical about the ability to finish a crochet project in 2 hours, but to that we say–never doubt a determined crafter! And what better place to try than with the expert support and friends you find at Makeshift Crafts?!

Our workshops are designed to be a welcoming and inclusive creative space for all. Please note that workshops are intended for participants ages 14 and up, with instruction, pacing, and materials geared toward teens and adults rather than young children.
Workshops that are appropriate for younger participants will be clearly labeled as family-friendly or “Grown-Up & Me” activities. Thank you for your understanding!
Cancellation Policy:
For workshops booked on or after August 16, 2026, the following cancellation policy applies: If you’re unable to attend a workshop, you may cancel your reservation up to 48 hours before the scheduled workshop time to receive a 50% refund of your workshop payment. Cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop start time are not eligible for a refund. Please note that materials or kits from the class cannot be provided to participants who are unable to attend.
